Sonika Parashar In Indian National Anthem

     New comer Sonika Parashar is another girl from up-town who is all out to make a name for herself in this tinsel town. She hails from Shimla like her veteran predecessors Preity Zinta and Kangana Ranaut. Hailing from a middle-class family, Sonika from her very tender age wanted to be an actress. To begin with, she participated in all her school and college plays and other cultural activities. She even took part in college youth festivals. Modelling was her first step towards the glittering and glamour world. She had her parent’s blessings and support and thus landed in Mumbai to try her luck. She began with documentaries and  short films which were aired on Life Ok and Sahara One. She also featured in a T.V. serial titled Saraswatichandra aired on Star Plus. 

 

Now she is ready to prove herself on the big screen with her acting histrionics. She is thankful to Mr. Amit Shah and fashion designer Atique Ajmeri (son of well known writer and lyricist Asad Ajmeri) for casting her in their music video based on the Indian National Anthem. 

  

  This video is unique as it features more than 70 celebrities from all walks of life from across the nation. She feels it a priviledge to rub shoulders with personalities like Shilpa Shetty,   Mallika Sherawat, Vivek Oberoi, Tusshar Kapoor and other Bollywood stalwarts. Amit Shah and Atique Ajmeri has also signed her to play the lead in their upcoming film titled Telegram.

    Sonika Parashar is one of those new talents to bring all kinds of characters alive on the celluloid world.

THE STORY

Guru Gobind Singh and his four sons Ajith Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh fought valiantly against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s royal aide, Wazir Khan. Wazir Khan was a tyrant ruler, who was unjust with people. Guru Gobind Singh protested against his injustice. In turn, Wazir Khan attacked the Sikh community in an unrighteous way. To ensure their survival, Guru Gobind Singh’s four brave sons sacrificed their lives.

CRITICAL AND TRADE ANYALYSIS

Harry Baweja has beautifully encapsulated sensitive events of Sikh history in this 3D animated film. The subject is strong and makes the film gripping throughout. Dialogues are impactful. Ace actor Om Puri’s voiceover as the narrator makes it better. Being a stereoscopic film with animation and 3D effects, the execution was good according to Indian standards. Action is good. Cinematography is decent. Editing is crisp. Production and technical values are average. The film was moderately publicized.

VERDICT

At the box office, the film opened with a below average response and may run with word of mouth publicity especially in the north.

KAB BUJHI E AAG Launched

Ragini Films International's maiden venture KAB BUJHI E AAG

 was launched at Mirinda House, Mad-Island on 6th November. Bhojpuri film maker Abhay Sinha broken the auspicious coconut and one item song filmed on dancer Seema Singh.  Actress turned producer Ragini Pandey is in lead pair with Aman Raj. Sharmila De, deepak Soni, Vivek Chaudhary, Manoj Hansraj, Ramcharan and Ali Khan are in main cast. Writer-director: Anjan K. goswami. lyrics & music: Vijay Samrat. Action: Mohammed Ahmedabadi. SCREENING OF THREE SHORT FILMS

 The first screening of three short films THE SHAME GAME, SPIRIT OF DANCE and  AMBRIKSHANI was held at Prabodhankar Thakrey Natya Mandir, Mini Auditorium, Borivali on 19^th August. All three films are produced by Sumukh Productions and based three different stories. Shweta Maval is only one actor who has acted in all short films with Parag Rughani, Prayas, Priya Subha, Rahul Vaidya, Nabeel Ahmad, Tarun axena and others. All cast & crew along with TWO LITTLE INDIANS fame director Ravi Bhatia were present in the event.

ASHWAMEDHA AWARDS-2014 ON 30TH AUGUST

The managing director of Sampati  group Jayesh Madiyar has announced first ASHWAMEDHA AWARDS-2014 in a press conference at Ramee Guestline Hotel,  Juhu. The Socio, Entrtainment & Media Excellence Awards 2014 distribution ceremony will be held on 30^th August at Iskon Auditorium, Juhu. Dushyant Singh of M4U Entertainment is awards director.  Actor Arun Bakshi, singer Sanjeevni and lyricist Sudhakar Sharma were also present in the press conference.

'I AM SINGH DILBAGH' Released

House of Cheers present's I AM SINGH DILBAGH a Indipop music album of Dilbagh Singh was released this week by Saregama. 'Thodi jinni peeti hai' an official remix hit Hindi song 'thodi si jo pi...' is included in this album. Ruby Bhatia is stylist of its vedio.

Dilbagh Singh is a performer, musician, and song writer. A Delhi based artist, naturally bestowed with the gift of music. He learnt basics of music from the singer Mika Singh and also became the Co-Singer in his stage performances. Dilbagh has performed in about 1000+ shows in India and abroad with Mika Singh within 8 years. The show in Juhu, Mumbai became the turning point in his life, where Mika Singh got late in reaching the event venue and Dilbagh had to entertain the crowd. He started singing and enthralled the crowd with his performance. 

After returning to Delhi, he started his own band. In September 2006, he did his first ever studio recording for the song "ganpat" from the movie "shootout at lokhandvala". After this, there was no looking back. He met a few music producers and launched his four songs, including his famous Punjabi number "Oh Tina". Dilbagh is one artist who has conducted more than 350 shows without having any private album to his credit. 

He has presented shows in Hindi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, Haryanvi and Punjabi languages. His much awaited album I AM SINGH DILBAGH now released.

‘ANKHON DEKHI’ releasing on 21st March 2014

A NEW SONG IN RAJU MAVANI'S "ANURADHA"

ANURADHA a film was made in 1960 by producer-director Hrishikesh Mukherjee with stars Balraj Sahni and Miss India Leela Naidu in lead roles. Now another ANURADHA is ready for release on 28^th February 2013 in which new find Disha Chaudhary and Rahul Jain are in the leads with Sachin Khedekar, Smita Jaikar, Manoj Joshi, Kishori Shahane, Hrishita Bhatt and Raju Mavani in major roles. The film is produced by Disha Chaudhary under the banner of Shiv Shakti Entertainment Production and directed by Raju Mavani, who is a noted producer, director and actor.

The film’s story is written by Divakar Shetty and based on a sensitive social issue. Four songs have already been picturised and to make much more entertaining the makers have added one more sufi song ‘Ishq Ishq’ in the film. The song was filmed on 28^th January on choreographer-cum-actor Ganesh Acharya and Smiriti Sinha along with main artistes, fifty dancers and thousands crowds at Kamal Amrohi Studio, Andheri (East), where a huge set was designed with lots of lights and bling. The lyrics is written by Faaiz Anwar, composed by Farzan Faaiz and sung by Altamash Faridi and Palak Muchhal.

About directing ANURADHA says, “Disha’s father is my childhood friend. One day he come to me with his own story and said you will direct Disha in this film. I couldn’t refuse him. So, I am back in Mumbai.”

Disha Chaudhary belongs to Bangalore and well settled in construction business with her father. She had worked in two Kannada films which are not completed. She is debuting as a producer and actress. “ANUARADHA is an emotional film with social message. My character’s name is Anuradha which is very near to my real life.” she said.

It’s true that that you had have worked in a south film and your character in YA RAB is similar to the character you played in that film?

Yes. I did only one Tamil Film in south  PALINI APAKALURI as the daughter of a doctor and debuted in Bollywood with YA RAB where is I’m an orphan child and my guardian is a doctor, the role is played by BOL fame Pakistani actor  Manzar Sehbai. My character is very different here I’m a complete woman who is pregnant . Please don’t compare my role from the role I did in the Tamil film.  

How did you prepare for the role of Amreen in YA RAB?

I’m a trained actor. I had gone to Nadira Babbar’s workshop and Anupam Kher’s acting workshop. I have done shoots for too many advt shorts too. Camera is very familiar to me.  But the role in this film was very challenging for me. This was not a college going and dancing girl role. Amreen is a complete woman, she is a daughter of a doctor, married with Imran.  Thanks to my family director Hasnain and producer Mrs. Hoori without them I wasn’t able to  perform like this. I got most tips from my Bhabhijaan, my mother and Hooriji that was how to walk and talk like my character. Their tips helped me to get into the skin of the character.

What was it like to work with Ajaz Khan?

I think I’m very lucky that I have worked with many experienced persons in this film. He is a great actor. But there is not a single scene with him. I’m in coma and he is trying to save my life because I’m one and only one victim of the Lucknow mall bomb blasts. He is playing an ATS cop in the film.

How was the experience during the shoots for the film YA RAB?

Excellent!! I got good director and a sensitive subject film which was my need. I’m very thankful to  director Hasnain Hyderabadwala who  selected me for the film. He knew exactly what he wanted. He would make sure that he would get that out of his actors. He is a perfectionist.  His vision was clear.

What are your expectations from the film?

I want people to enjoy the film and observe my work. I hope the film does well at the box office and its success will help me a lot in my career.

Are you working in any other movie?

At present I am  doing commercials and one Hindi film of which shooting is already 50% completed but I can’t tell you the film’s title.  It’s my producer’s  order.

 Is there any controversial thing in the movie?

YA RAB is a  movie with a message to the Muslim community. The film is made under the Quraan’s Aayat, Hadees and focus on Islam’s teaching-preaching.   According to me there is nothing controversial things.
