STRINGS OF PASION: REVIEW RATING FOUR STAR

Banner: Eon Films & Mithuntara Movies

Producer: Tricolor Creations
Director: Sanghamitra Chaudhari
Music: Dev Sikdar, Saqi & Sidhu
THE STORY
Three young and dynamic guys Neel (Avalok Nagpal), Aman (Shubh Mukherjee) and Amit (Trishaan Sarkar) are owner of the band ‘Strings Of Passion’. They love music and life but instigated by college blues, they run a ruthless period of drugs, depression & desolation until the women in their lives create magic and rejuvenate them to sensible human beings.

CRITICAL ANALYSIS
The story and screenplay are written by Sanghamitra Chaudhri and narrates drama of love, deception and humanity. The story has a novelty that guys have bad parenting and raped by women. Performance-wise, Zeenat Aman as Roma mother of Neel is oaky. Avalok Nagpal, Shubh Mukherjee and Trishaan Sarkar are good. Other cast are supporting adequate.

TRADE ANALYSI

Sanghamitra Chaudhari is a well-known film maker in Bengali Film industry and debuting in Bollywood with an urban commercial flick set in the City of Joy. Script and direction are good.  Dialogues can be much better. Musically fair. ‘Kaiko tu Lete hai Tension’ ‘Udta Yeh Mann Mera’ & ‘Chheenke Mujhe Koi’ songs are heart touching. Riju Samanta’s cinematography is first rate. Editing by Bodhaditya Banerjee is superb. The production and technical values are average. Publicity was Nil.

THE LAST WORD

At the box office, the film is washout, while this was appreciated in many International Festivals and winner of 5 Awards including Best Actor, Best Film, Best Actress and Best Editor.
